Artist Statement
For me, still lifes as a motive of interest came from several different lines of interest: the interest in showing the flow of time on the surface and the interest in ropography (from rhopos – a trivial object, trifles) depicting scenes and objects irrelevant to historical events. While megalography depicts great historical events, legends, and battles that go beyond individual history, ropography, including still lifes, witnesses human lives through objects overlooked, through the daily routine displayed on the table.
In photomontages, by monitoring the flow of time, decaying beauty of still life and merging time sections into one unique image, created the historical value of transient objects and thus gave importance to the neglected artistic genre.
(HR) Za autoricu je bavljenje mrtvim prirodama poteklo od nekoliko različitih interesnih linija: interes za prikazivanje protoka vremena na plohi i interes za ropografiju (od rhopos– trivijalni objekt, sitnice) tj. prikazivanje scena i predmeta nevažnih za povijesna zbivanja. Dok megalografija prikazuje velika povijesna zbivanja, legende i bitke, koje nadilaze individualnu povijest, ropografija, uključujući i mrtve prirode, svjedoči o ljudskim životima kroz predmete koji se previđaju, kroz dnevnu rutinu prikazanu na stolu.
U fotomontažama je praćenjem protoka vremena, propadanja ljepote mrtve prirode i spajanje vremenskih odsječaka u jednu jedinstvenu sliku, stvorena povijesna vrijednost prolaznih objekata te time dana važnost i slojevitost zanemarenom umjetničkom žanru.
